Our Outpatient Treatment Program provides specialized, wholly personalized treatment plans, structured to provide a seamless transition back into safely living your daily life. We call this Healthy Living and its the last phase of Sameem's treatment program.
The three levels of Sameem's outpatient treatment programs provide step-down options after or in place of a residential treatment program.
Sameem's Outpatient Treatment Levels
1) Intensive Outpatient Programs
2) Enhanced Support
3) Healthy Living
We treat all ages, from adolescents and young adults who require more than an individual therapist or a local resource, to older adults in retirement. Sameem offers a path to start in either an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)while enabling many to continue to work or attend school during the days. For patients whose need is less severe, we offer our Enhanced Support program or Health Living programs for 1 to 5 visits weekly. We help you find the addiction or alcoholism treatment near you that you need.
Sameem Behavioral Health has several outpatient programs with flexible schedules throughout the week which allow patients to maintain their work, school and care taking responsibilities.
Our dedicated staff is here to confidentially answer your questions and explain the difference between Residential Treatment, a Partial Hospitalization Treatment, and Intensive Outpatient Treatment. We’ll help you decide on the best approach, regardless of your level of need.
Upon entering the Sameem's outpatient addictions treatment programs, each client receives a personalized treatment plan with the goal of progressing through treatment levels at an individual's desired speed. Plans builds upon what has been achieved in prior treatment, and encompasses the following:
Are you or a loved one struggling with depression, anxiety, mental health, or substance abuse?
We know that overcoming addiction is challenging and requires the courage and strength to acknowledge that help is needed. With 40 years of experience, our team of professionals at Sameem Behavioral Health understands how to help individuals overcome substance abuse.
Seeking assistance and support is a significant step towards recovery, and it is essential to remember that you are not alone in this journey. Many people have gone through similar difficulties and have come out stronger on the other side. With the right resources and support, you can overcome addiction and lead a healthy, fulfilling life.
Our clinical staff is trained in multiple modalities of providing outpatient treatment in group, individual and family sessions. Our outpatient treatment facilities offer a wide range of comprehensive and tailored therapeutic offerings. You can see a sampling below.
Individual therapy at Sameem is a one-on-one meeting with a Sameem counselor focusing on meeting the patient's challenges in daily living, including but by no means limited to overcoming substance abuse or alcoholism. It addresses a range of issues, including substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, using evidence-based techniques to support recovery and personal growth. Individual therapy can be a part of a program of care for addiction treatment or substance abuse treatment. The care program for alcoholism or drug abuse may be limited to individual therapy or it may also include family therapy, group therapy, or an Intensive Outpatient Program.
At Sameem, group therapy is a cornerstone of our treatment approach, providing a supportive community for individuals at various stages of recovery. Our unique integrated group therapy model includes patients from both Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and those engaged in long-term treatment. This integration fosters a diverse healing environment where new patients benefit from the experiences and support of long-standing members, enhancing personal growth and relapse prevention within a nurturing community setting.

The main difference between outpatient and inpatient treatment is where the clients lives during treatment. Inpatient means patients live at the facility they are also being treated in. Outpatient means patients live at home and attend treatment during the day or evening.
Sameem's Outpatient Treatment Program treats adolescents and adults of all ages who are experiencing psychological, behavioral, or substance abuse issues, through comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each individual. At Sameem Behavioral Health, outpatient treatment is crucial in addressing substance abuse and behavioral challenges and help individuals advance to a healthy living state in their life.
Between Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient
What is the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)?
Our Partial Hospitalization Program offers Monday–Friday, on-location treatment, with a minimum of four to five hours of clinical therapy sessions per day. Unlike our residential programs, you live at home and visit one of our outpatient facilities throughout treatment journey. Generally, our PHP program is for those who have completed a residential program.
What is the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?
The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for young adults who are beginning to meet vocational and educational goals and do not require all-day care as they continue their recovery. The IOP treatment program is a minimum of three hours per day, Monday–Friday, with flexibility to move to fewer days, if appropriate.
